Making Partnering Work
County of San Joaquin

AIM Consulting provides partnering facilitation to the County of San Joaquin and the design/build team of Hensel Phelps and Fentress Architects for the new $108 million, 8-story County Administration building located in downtown Stockton. The project will allow the County to consolidate several support and service departments and administrative functions into one building and allow for future expansion of staff for several decades. This is the first design/build project for the County of San Joaquin. Through two partnering workshops and an on-going electronic survey, AIM Consulting has helped the County and the Design/Build team to identify and resolve several potential issues and to maintain strong communication links assuring the team stays on task and reaches their project goals. To date the project is on schedule and within budget and the current survey results show that the team partners are enjoying a positive working relationship.
